Sundays in April and May JUVENILE REMEDIATION PROJECT

From 10am - 3 pm at 82 East 16th Avenue (Summit United Methodist Church). Volunteers will work in two hour shifts assisting juvenile offenders with projects to beautify the neighborhood.

 

Saturday, April 26th EARTH DAY

Earth Day event from 8am - 12 noon at 82 East 16th Ave. Help us as we create a sustainable environment within the university area. Efforts rewarded with FREE LUNCH served at Goodale Park!
Also, Valet Bike Parking from 10am-8pm at Goodale Park. Volunteers needed to park bikes.

 

Saturday, May 3rd ROCK THE BLOCK

11am - 3pm at 82 East 16th Ave. Join us as we Rock the Block! Volunteers needed as leaders to provide direction to inspired Ohio State students at sites around the community. If interested, please respond as soon as possible!

 

Tuesdays and Thursdays MENTOR A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

We are looking for an individual who is willing to work one-on-one with a High School student on either Tuesdays or Thursdays between the hours of 10am to 2pm. This particular High School student is interested in issues surrounding gangs, safety, graffiti abatement and research and policy related to those issues. The volunteer will most likely work with the student at the UAEA office, located at 2300 Indianola Avenue.

 

TUTORING OPPORTUNITIES

We are looking for someone to help a high school student prepare for his GED.

 

SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL

Interested in making the community safer for pedestrians and cyclists? Help us coordinate community involvement in writing a Safe Routes to School Plan for 5th Avenue Elementary, Weinland Park Elementary, Indianola Middle School, and Medary Elementary School.
